Brass desk lamp, 1950-1960

Elegant desk lamp dating from the mid-20th century – 1950s/60s. The black lacquered base is offset to illuminate the center of the desk, and the lampshade is adjustable thanks to a ball joint under the socket (see photos). Beautiful silk lampshade, remade to the original (shade shape typical of the Lunel company). Switch on the cord (the one on the base no longer works). This lamp is sometimes attributed to Robert Mathieu, Jules Leleu, Arlus, or the Lunel company (which is more likely). Height: 56 cm / Lampshade diameter: 40 cm.
