British furniture designer victor bramwell (v.b.) wilkins is best known for its fresco range for g-plan. Although all of wilkins' work was produced by g-plan, little biographical information is available on this designer. However, one can assume that he worked as an in-house designer for the british manufacturer for many years. In the 1960s, the british furniture manufacturer g-plan set the standard for consumer modernist furniture in the post-war uk. In order to compete with imported scandinavian furniture, g-plan hired designer ib kofod-larsen (1921-2003), who created several designs for the company. It is assumed that wilkins was strongly influenced by kofod-larsen's creations, his pieces often attributed in error to kofod-larsen.
