Mario Botta Zefiro Hanging Lamp for Artemide Italy 1988

Great hanging lamp, model Zefiro, designed by the Swiss architect and designer Mario Botta in 1988 for Artemide Italy. The original Artemide lable is with it. This lamp is not in production anymore and hard to find. It has a black tubular steel rectangular structure. Lightly poised at its center is a thin, white sheet of perforated steel, that functions as a reflector. At the bottom side of the structure is a black triangular prism containing the bright halogen light source angled upwards. The lamp gives a fantastic striped pattern on the ceiling when lit. Like most of his creations this lamp features strong geometric forms. The lamp is in excellent condition, as new.
