Danish sewing table designed by Severin Hansen for Haslev, 1960s

Danish sewing table model 40 designed by Severin Hansen. This piece of furniture was manufactured in the 1960s by Haslev Møbelsnedkeri. The table has a drawer with storage compartments and an extendable wicker basket at the bottom. The way this sewing table was made shows high craftsmanship. The drawer was beautifully integrated into the connection of the legs to the top, something that is very characteristic of Severin Hansen. The sewing table, which can also be used as a side table, is in very nice vintage condition. There are hardly any stains or scratches to be found and the basket at the bottom is also completely intact. Only a minor repair was made to the glider at the bottom by a previous owner (see photo). However, this is not visible and therefore certainly not disturbing. Furthermore, the furniture is marked with the manufacturer's logo, the model number and 'made in Denmark'.
