Set of four Franny chairs, designed by the Italian collective Superstudio and produced by Fasem in Italy in the 1980s. A major figure in Italian Radical Design, Superstudio has profoundly influenced the history of design with its visionary approach and minimalist aesthetic. The Franny model perfectly illustrates this philosophy with a silhouette of great lightness, a structure in chrome tubular steel, and an iconic oval backrest, whose understated lines elegantly transcend the ages. This set has been completely reupholstered in a publisher's velvet with a black and ecru zebra pattern. The contrast between the shiny chrome and the chrome structures is in very good overall condition, showing only slight signs of use consistent with their age. The seats and backs, recently reupholstered, are in perfect condition. An iconic and timeless set that will naturally find its place in a contemporary, modernist, or eclectic interior.
