Baccarat blown and engraved crystal champagne glass

4 champagne glasses - in the pompadour shape they are probably made of baccarat crystal because the engraving of the knots is recognizable. Blown and engraved crystal with greek art deco motif they are not signed so date from before the 1930s. Very good general condition except one which is slightly chipped in two places. Height: 11.5cm diameter of the rim: 10.5cm the champagne glasses before were not flutes! Legend has it that the first cup was molded on the breast of queen marie-antoinette (wife of louis xvi). Others claim that it was cast on the breast of the marquise de pompadour (1721-1764) who was the favorite mistress of louis XV. Hence their name pompadour!!.
