Piano stool

Rotating piano stool in beech, late 19th century, Napoleon III / Henry II An antique adjustable-height piano stool, dating from the late 19th century or very early 20th century. It is made of stained beech and rests on three turned legs with fluted shafts, finished with turned feet. A cross stretcher, composed of turned bars, connects them around a central shaft. The round seat pivots and can be raised or lowered by a ladder mechanism. It has been reupholstered in a fabric with botanical patterns (pansies, foliage, and blue berries on a raspberry red background), with a burgundy and gold trim.
