We love the dishes and, if we could, we would keep this nice set! But we are sure that it will be perfect at home. Composed of 16 plates, 1 dish and 1 bowl, this service is made of white earthenware. Each element is highlighted with two blue nets framed by 3 thinner golden nets. We like its chic but simple side, which makes its use possible on a daily basis as for more festive occasions. In good general condition, these plates come from the faïencerie d'onnaing in the north, a factory known in particular for its slurry. Founded in 1821, the factory was bought several times from 1827 to become in 1894, the société anonyme de la faïencerie d'onnaing. From the end of the nineteenth century, the onnaing earthenware factory developed to directly employ 500 workers. It benefits from the extension of the railway network, which allows it both to source raw materials and to export its production. Then, the destruction due to the first world war strongly affected the factory: ovens, molds, buildings were destroyed. The resumption of production in 1921 did not allow to return to the levels of the beginning of the century. Demand also changed and manufacturing ceased in 1938. The factory was definitively liquidated in 1947. The plates are therefore at least 74 years old! Plate diameter 23.5 cm. Dish diameter 29 cm. Flat diameter 29 cm, height 13 cm.
