A statement chandelier by Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors, made in Sweden in the 1960s — a magnificent example of the finest Scandinavian design of the era. The drum-shaped body is composed of twelve panels of thick, diamond-textured pressed glass, alternating with vertical strips of warm teak wood and held together by a brass frame. A central teak cylinder suspended on a slender brass rod completes the composition. When lit, the faceted glass sparkles and scatters light beautifully across the room, while the pairing of clear crystal with the warmth of teak gives the piece its unmistakable Nordic character. With twelve bulb sockets, it delivers both dramatic presence and generous illumination. A show-stopping centrepiece for a dining room, hallway, or living space, bringing sculptural elegance and warm light to any interior. Condition: Very good condition, no damage, fully functional. 12 bulb sockets. Dimensions: Diameter 55 cm; height 78 cm. Maker: Carl Fagerlund for Orrefors, Sweden.
