Alky armchair – Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli – 1970s

Iconic armchair model Alky, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for the Italian publisher Anonima Castelli in the 1970s. A great classic of design from this period, recognisable by its sculptural, fluid, and enveloping lines. 🧵 Original fabric Original textile covering, slightly stretched over time, which is consistent with the age of the armchair. ➡️ Note: a visible snag at the top of the right side of the backrest (see photo). Other than this point, nothing else to report. 🪑 Structure & comfort Stable and sound structure. No springs: rigid internal structure covered with foam, in line with the design of the Alky model.
