Lamp designed by esben klint, the son of kaare klint (the famous danish furniture designer). Esben has created a timeless model, it has a contemporary and graphic side despite its more than 50 years. These lamps were distributed by the danish lamp manufacturer le klint. It was produced by palshus (denmark), founded by per and annelise linnemann-schmidt. The couple made objects in chamotte (danish clay) with printed decorations (cups, vases and lamps). The colors were characteristic scandinavian earth tones: blues, browns, greens and beige. Many talented ceramists have also worked for palshus, including jens h. Quistgaard and esben klint. The lamp has a dark blue glaze and a pattern of geometric lines. The material gives a natural and living surface. The lamp is signed under the base (ek for esben klint). Esben klint apprenticed as a cabinetmaker and became an architect in denmark. He opened his own design studio in 1954. He oversaw the restoration of danish churches and castles, but also worked his own architectural firm. During the 1960s, he worked on school furniture, among others, in collaboration with his good friend børge mogensen. The lamp has been re-electrified. New lampshade. Dimension of the lampshade: diameter 40cm / 25cm, height 29cm. Total height 69cm. Height of the lamp foot with the soquet = 46cm.
