Carpet bought in 1986 under the tent of a bedouin in the egyptian western desert, near dakhla. It consists of 4 strips about 50 cm wide. 3 of them are 3.40 m long and sewn together, the last one, which I had disjointed, of 3.20m. I attached a photo (which I didn't take) that shows a woman installing a rudimentary loom like the one used for this carpet. This carpet is made of the wool of sheep raised by the tribe, and dyed by natural products. It was already a little discolored at the time of purchase, but I had found that it made its charm. You can use the carpet as it is or only two strips for a corridor for example. This carpet is woven according to a traditional method almost disappeared today, it is not a simple kilim that takes traditional motifs but is woven on modern crafts, in egypt as elsewhere. Hence its price.
