Worn Leather Buttoned Library Fireside Armchair, 1840's

A beautiful antique english gentleman's leather library/ fireside armchair. The leather is in a worn and weathered condition with a lot of wear & tear, some holes, rips, tears and imperfections. The buttoned seat and backrest is still in a good condition, no buttons missing. Tappered oak feet with brass castros. Probably english from around the 1840's. The chair has a fantastic shape and is exeptionally comfortable with a wide seat area. This chair is very decorative with a lot of character and charisma and a beautiful patina. The leather is damaged and torn by time the frame is good and stable. Seat height 43 cm.
