Stuffed butterfly Attacus Atlas

Entomologist setting including a super specimen of attacus atlas butterfly. This giant night is one of the largest moths in the world. However, in the adult stage (=butterfly), it lives only a few days and only to reproduce, unable to feed because its mouth is then atrophied. It is native to the forests of india. This frame is of thai origin as the stamp on the back indicates. The butterfly is arranged on a felt background that stabilizes it and allows it to age better over time.
