Period: ca. 1950s. These mini one-cup coffee makers are a great example of an old invention that is helping us get back to anti-waste and zero-electricity solutions. All you need is boiling water and ground coffee. A cup consists of five pieces: glass, coffee filter with holes, pusher element and a lid. The four cups are on their original tray. The set is accompanied by a smaller tray with a milk pot and a sugar pot; these have the same two decorative parallel grooves as the cups. Invented in the 1950s by the belgian company durobor, they are no longer manufactured. The glasses are made of tempered glass; the company was known for making "unbreakable glass." metal parts have always been manufactured by external companies. In this set, the metal parts are silver and bear a hallmark (unidentified); it is a rarer version than aluminum or chrome varieties. The logo on the glasses places them in the 1950s and the set is therefore one of the first versions. Status: good. No damage. Dimensions: cups: 6 & 12.5 cm with filter, 7.5 cm in diameter. Top: 28 X 23 cm. Milk pot: 6 cm high. Small tray: 19.5 X 13 cm. 1.6 kg total weight.
