Description
Very beautiful religious painting, ex-voto, saint philomena, nineteenth - circa 1840. Embroidery of silk threads, work called "chenillé". Gold thread for the necklace, pistil and stamens of the lilies and the title at the bottom center. The face and hands are made of paper cut-outs. Saint philomena is represented with the attributes of her martyrdom: her youth, in her left hand a branch of lilies as a "palm", an arrow is attached to it, the anchor of which we see the "head" on which rests the right hand of the saint. Embroidery presented in its original frame in gilded wood with gold leaf. In excellent condition. The back is very clean. The glass is also original (old bubbled window). Ready to be hooked. Dimensions: 34.5 cm X 29 cm X 2 cm. Weight: 950 gr. Very neat shipping!.
