Danish Mid-Century Teak Rocking Chair by Hans Olsen for Juul Kristensen

Elegant Danish mid-century rocking chair designed by Hans Olsen for Juul Kristensen, dating from the 1960s. This exceptional vintage rocking chair is a beautiful example of Scandinavian modern design, combining a slender teak wood frame with graceful organic shapes and carefully considered proportions. Particularly distinctive are the elegantly curved armrests, the delicate side supports and the beautifully shaped wooden rockers, which flow harmoniously into the overall construction. The high, gently inclined backrest and separate neck cushion provide a comfortable and relaxed seating position. The neck cushion is attached to the upper backrest with two leather straps, adding a refined and functional design detail. The chair has been newly padded and reupholstered in high-quality grey-blue fabric. The subtle colour creates an attractive contrast with the warm teak wood and complements the chair's elegant Scandinavian appearance. With its sculptural silhouette and timeless design, this rocking chair makes a beautiful statement piece for a living room, reading corner or contemporary interior.
