Impressive stoneware pitcher handcrafted with a ribbed body and irregular polygonal base. It is covered with a flowing glaze in deep shades: moss green, tobacco brown, and mineral blue, with very organic material effects. Signed "33" under the base, likely a work from a French workshop dating from the 1970s, in the tradition of contemporary artisan potters influenced by Art Nouveau and high-fire glazes. A strong decorative object, to be repurposed as a raw vase or integrated into a collection of French stoneware. Condition: Excellent, no chips. Some glazing irregularities typical of handcrafted work. Dimensions: Height: 17.5 cm. Length (with handle): 18.5 cm. Width: 12 cm. Weight: 825 g.
