Vintage jug with floral decoration in the style of Poterie du Marais.

A pottery piece that evokes holiday vibes in Charente: this lovely bulbous jug in crackled earthenware is adorned with large stylised flowers hand-painted. In a naive and cheerful style, it captures the spirit of the marsh pottery from Pons: a joyful and popular artisanal production that was very much in vogue in the 60s to 80s. A beautiful white earthenware with a slightly crackled glaze, featuring hand-painted floral decoration. Ideal as a rustic vase or simply placed on a summer table. Attributed to the marsh pottery – unsigned. Overall vintage condition, with some natural marks related to time. There is a slight defect in the moulding on the base (very light indentation) and a tiny chip on the foot. Height 19 cm, width 14 cm.
