Børge Mogensen sled chair 2256

Børge mogensen designed the model 2256 chaise longue in 1956 for fredericia furniture (fredericia stolefabrik). The chair features a solid oak cube frame with straight shank joints. The original cushions were covered in a gray wool fabric. The seat cushion can be secured with a leather strap attached to the frame. Fredericia furniture was founded in 1911 by n. P. Ravnsø, in an industrial port town of the same name (fredericia). Fredericia was also the city where the largest scandinavian design fair of the time (the nordic international furniture exhibition) was held a year earlier.
