The FOX armchair (lisek), reference 300-190, was designed by Henryk Lis, a graduate of the Department of Interior Architecture at the Wrocław University of Fine Arts. It was one of the most popular armchairs during the Polish People's Republic (PRL, 1952-1989). It was produced from 1967 to the end of the 1970s, mainly at the Bystrzycka Furniture Factory in Bystrzyca Kłodzka, Poland. It still captivates today with its timeless form. Lightweight and comfortable, it is distinguished by its turned beech legs. The original armchair, with its footrest, has undergone a complete renovation of its joinery and upholstery. The beech frames were stripped of their old covering, sanded, painted with a brown stain, and then protected with four coats of semi-matt varnish. The upholstery sponges were replaced and covered with a high-quality, modern fabric.
