A superb glazed ceramic plate, striking in its graphic design and strong visual presence, adorned with a central motif evoking a stylized fish, rendered in an abstract and graphic style. The decoration unfolds in deep cobalt blue against a sandy beige background, with a rhythmic composition of swirls, lines, and dots, typical of the major decorative wave of the 1970s and 80s. This piece is part of a European reinterpretation of the Nabeul aesthetic in the spirit of Louis Tissier, though it is not an original signed work. It reflects the influence of grand, modernized, artisanal-inspired designs, revisited here with a more structured and contemporary approach. The reverse reveals fine wheel-throwing work, with visible firing marks, attesting to its workshop production. The partial glaze, the nuances of the material, and the natural patina lend the piece a warm authenticity. Beautiful vintage condition, without chips or cracks, with slight signs of age on the base, perfectly consistent with its age and method of manufacture. Diameter 23 cm. Can be hung. A piece with a strong graphic design, ideal for adding an artistic and contemporary touch.
