Armchairs Model Caleidos 835 by Frans Schrofer for Young International, Netherlands, 1980, Set of 2

In 1984, schrofer founded his own design studio in the hague, called studio schrofer. The first order came from the dutch company young international. For this company, schrofer designed, among others, the scudo chair and the. Kaleidos 835. Studio schrofer not only designs furniture for the interior, but also creates garden furniture, fireplaces and lighting for renowned national and international companies. Frans schtofer has already received numerous design awards during his young career. Both chairs had aged and worn fabric, the foam/polyether was also rotten and sprayed. During the restoration, the foam was replaced by us with new foam and polyether. For the fabric, we chose a wool fabric from kvadrat, or divina in the color md 0353. We made new covers with zippers for both chairs from this fabric. The chairs rest on aluminum legs with movable feet. The armchairs are an extension of the oyster van artifort.
