Description
Pair of Indian wall candlesticks carved in wood. 19th century. Superb pair of Indian wall candlesticks carved in wood and dating from the 19th century. These were initially the end of interior beams from luxurious houses or temples which were cut, certainly during renovation work, then recovered to make candlesticks. The 2 pieces are not identical, it is an artisanal and old work. The beams had to be painted because we found traces of green and red paint on the candlesticks. Rare and finely crafted 19th century pieces. Very decorative and elegant. In very good shape.
