Glass and silver-plated metal jug, Louis XV style

Glass and silver-plated wine carafe, Louis XV style. France, 1970s. Transparent glass carafe with a wide flared base and narrow neck, set with a silver-plated ring featuring an openwork design of oval and beaded motifs. Scroll handle adorned with a flower, hinged lid and finial. An elegant piece for serving wine or water, or as a table decoration. Height: 24 cm. Diameter: 12.5 cm. Width with handle: 15 cm. Used condition. Light patina and oxidation of the silver plating. Functional hinge and lid, no apparent chips or cracks.
