Marcel Thomas, The Mont Blanc Junction

Haute-savoie (74) - the alps - old photo. Photographed by marcel thomas, marcel thomas, the metallurgist turned photographer to the stars. This famous hike from la jonction leads to the summit of the côte mountain where the bossons and taconnaz glaciers meet. This route was taken by jacques balmat and doctor michel paccard during the first ascent of mont blanc, on august 7 and 8, 1786. A small defect on the paper, see photo.
