Industrial metal drawer cabinet Y.A. Chauvin Paris 1940s

Industrial metal archive furniture. Vertical filing cabinet with four drawers, made in France, signed Y.A. Chauvin, a Parisian manufacturer located at 6 Rue aux Ours in Paris. The structure is entirely metal, with a carcass painted in dark slate grey and drawer fronts in light grey-green, a characteristic colour of French office furniture from the 1940s-1950s. Each drawer is equipped with a rectangular glass label holder and an industrial-style metal handle. The enamelled black metal nameplate features a winged logo in Art Deco style, and the pre-1963 Parisian telephone number (TUR 84-35) confirms dating between the 1940s and 1950s. The item is sold as is: the furniture shows visible signs of wear — rust on the handles, chipping paint, scratches on the top and sides — which testify to its professional use and give the piece its industrial authenticity. No restoration has been carried out. An authentic piece of industrial furniture, ideal for a loft interior, workshop, or bold vintage decor. It can be used as is or restored according to your wishes. Dimensions: H. 132.5 cm × W. 72 cm × D. 40 cm. Weight: 50 kg. Please arrange suitable transport.
