Antique teapot in Terre de Fer – Hand-decorated floral decoration from the brand “Phénix Déposé” Dimensions: H 12 cm, diameter approx. 15 cm Charming teapot with its lid decorated with a bouquet (blue, yellow, red). Terre de Fer, which appeared in France around 1840, is a denser and more resistant earthenware than traditional earthenware. Very popular in bourgeois homes and hotels at the turn of the century, it combined fine decoration and robustness for everyday use. The Phénix Déposé brand guaranteed quality and export; these pieces adorned family tables as well as inn sideboards.
