Pine stool from Les Arcs, circa 1975

Solid pine stool with an inverted U-shaped base, created for the furnishings of the Les Arcs 1800 resort. The design is based on an elementary and robust construction, prioritising stability and clarity of structure. The use of solid pine and the formal simplicity refer to furniture designed for collective use in a mountain environment, within the framework of the developments coordinated by Charlotte Perriand. France, circa 1975. Vintage, with signs of restoration.
