Art Deco-style "Avion" bookends in marble and aluminum cast iron

Pair of black marble bookbands and steerable planes, typical of the Art Deco style. Circa 1940. The bases are marble heavy enough to block books, aluminum cast iron planes with transparent plastic propellers. The aircraft are Spitfires, the famous English fighters of the Second World War. The design of aircraft with the aerodynamic line is very successful. The whole is in good condition but it should be noted a glued marble base and three micro-chipped little visible.
