🏺 Vintage soup tureen in handmade Tunisian ceramic – 1970s – Blue and turquoise. Beautiful covered soup tureen in handmade Tunisian ceramic from the 1970s, adorned with a traditional geometric design painted by hand. With its generous silhouette, two handles, and matching lid, this vintage piece charms with its Mediterranean colours and authentic appeal. 🎨 The decoration harmoniously combines cobalt blue, turquoise, and black on a white glazed background. Wide friezes composed of interlacing, dots, and oval patterns adorn the rim of the soup tureen, creating a graphic and rhythmic ensemble. ✨ The slightly domed lid features the same motifs, arranged in concentric circles around a central knob. Its edge highlighted in dark blue adds a lovely finishing touch to the whole. 💙 The two side handles, decorated with touches of blue, elegantly complete the silhouette. Their rounded shape contrasts with the geometric patterns and reinforces the traditional character of this ceramic. 🏺 The soup tureen rests on a circular foot, giving it a particularly decorative appearance. Its balanced proportions allow it to be displayed on a table, shelf, or sideboard. 🇹🇳 Originating from Tunisian craftsmanship, this piece bears a mark under its base. It reflects the know-how of traditional pottery workshops and the taste for colourful decorations characteristic of Mediterranean ceramics. 🕰️ Generally in good vintage condition, with some signs of use, small marks, and irregularities in the glaze. Slight wear is particularly visible on the blue edge of the lid, in line with its age. 🏡 A lovely piece that is both decorative and full of character, ideal for a country kitchen, a bohemian interior, or Mediterranean decor. It can also be paired with other Tunisian ceramics to form a beautiful ensemble. 📐 Dimensions: 24 × 18 × H14 cm.
