Carpet handmade new art with floral design Theo Nieuwenhuis 367x555cm

This very big stack has been hand-tied to the Netherlands, around 1890-1905. This design has been attributed to Theodoor Nieuwenhuis for Koninklijke Vereenigde Tapijtfabrieken Deventer. The design includes floral motifs and dragonflies. The colors used are all with natural pigments. Some clothing and duties, consistent with age and use. One of a kind!
