Geoffrey Harcourt swivel leather lounge chair - "F504" for Artifort, 1960s

Mid century modern swivel lounge chair designed by geoffrey harcourt in 1968 for famous dutch furniture. It was produced by artifort. In 1962, British designer Geoffrey Harcourt (1935) joined the Artifort team and developed the luxury "F Series" lounge chairs in the late 1960s. This chair is model no. F504. The easy lounge chair has a black metal base and original brown leather seats still in good vintage condition. The base is in shiny black aluminum. The f504 is characterized by its simple, charismatic and austere appearance. The aluminum base and polyurethane shell are influenced by the space age design and fashion trend of the late 60s, while the leather seat adds a more classic and elegant touch.
