Jean luce (1895–1964), initially a goldsmith, became a designer of refined ceramics in the 1920s, marked by the art deco aesthetic. Favoring pure forms and sober geometric decorations, he collaborated in the 1930s with villeroy & boch luxembourg. Through this manufacturer, he produced pieces in fine earthenware and porcelain, combining elegance and quality industrial production. His work reflects the ideal of bringing art and industry together, which was very present at the time.
