Beautiful and rare colorized copy of a lithograph of the view of the château de pau. The versions that can be found for sale by these two artists are more commonly in black and white. Price around €200 in black and white. Printing on vellum paper, plate taken from the recueil de vues peintures de la france, edited and printed by delpech, paris between 1818 and 1820, including eighty lithographs. Constant bourgeois collaborated on the last etchings and the first suites of lithographed landscapes in the history of voyages peintures. A student of david, his landscapes of france and italy enjoyed a certain success at the time. Under the empire then under the restoration, he exhibited in salons for more than thirty years. At the paris salon, he notably exhibited view of the château d'ussé in 1810; view of the château de pau in 1817; françois I in vaucluse in 1819; view taken in a wood of holm oaks in 1831. François-séraphin delpech, born in 1778 in the chaillot district of paris and died on april 25, 1825 in this city, is a french art critic, designer and lithographer famous for his engraved portraits of historical and contemporary figures of his time.
