Italian Art Deco bed sidetables/nightstands 1910s

Italian art deco nightstands from the 1910s. Each nightstand consists of one upper drawer and a lower huge compartment with door (inside there are two shelves), based on the four wooden turnip legs. All handles are made from stainless steel and marble effect hard plastic. Top is placed with marble plate which is cut into shape and placed fitly to the wooden platform. With its balance between forms and its dazzling walnut veneer pattern, this set is an outstanding example of the sophistication of furniture design at the time. The pair was made for a wealthy family in pavia in 1900s. The pieces have recently been conserved its orginal with the beautiful patterns on all surfaces and its extremely rich colour. It is in excellent vintage condition, despite of some small defects of age and use. Measurement: Width 45 cm X height 93 cm X depth 40 cm. Weight: 14.5 kg (29kg in total) Made in italy. Period: 1910s.
