Here is a very pretty large soup tureen in puisaye stoneware with a charming, well-rounded shape and beautiful enameling combining soft and comforting tones: beige, caramel and chocolate, typical material and colors of the 70s. The result of beautiful artisanal work of throwing and enameling by the ceramist jean pierre prud'homme in the 70s. Jean-pierre prud'homme founded with his wife, an artisanal pottery workshop in 1971 in monnaie, working with clay from nièvre (puisaye stoneware). This workshop still exists today (au grès du vent workshop), it is run by his son benoît prud'homme who took over in the 1990s-2000s and also creates very beautiful ceramics. This soup tureen is signed with the monogram jp below. I already offer in my shop here a set of three soup bowls by jean-pierre prud'homme. I found them a few weeks ago. And I will soon be selling four other bowls, identical to the other three, found with this soup tureen. And I am offering and will also be offering other pieces by jean-pierre prud'homme (plates, cups, mugs, pitcher, vase, salt shaker, etc.). This soup tureen is in its original condition, no chips or chips, it has probably never been used, but it has a small original defect, without any impact on its solidity: a crack at the level of a handle. It measures 30 cm in width including handles, approximately 24 cm in maximum diameter, 23 cm in height including the lid and 15 cm in height without the lid.
