Set of 3 fossilized wood coasters (clear). Petrified wood is a wood fossil (same family as magnolia) dating back 20 million years. Silica replaced the wood fiber molecule by molecule, giving silicified wood. Fossilization is slow, which makes it possible to distinguish the patterns of the trees. Petrified wood is a noble material that lies between granite and precious stones. Dimensions (approximately, each piece is significantly different) of each coaster: height: 2.5 cm; diameter: 9.5cm; weight of the whole: approximately 1kg.
