Curved wood bistro office chair J&J KOHN

Office armchair in curved wood referenced n°4 then n°704 in the catalogues of the austrian firm kohn, competitor of thonet where we find the equivalent in model n°3. Early twentieth edition stamped with wsetin. Wood background specific to the kohn model, pyrograved + perforated pattern. Another special feature is the combination of round sections at the front and quandrangular sections at the rear for more solidity. Solidity here reinforced by the presence of a metal strapping (connecting the base to the seat belt), which is not original but was laid during the experience, certainly on the occasion of the renovation of the room, also visible at the filling of old flight holes and small marks left by some xylophagus. The strapping has been left in place because it is cleverly realized/laid and does not detract from the aesthetics of the seat, even adding a little "indus" side...
