Large antique wardrobe in solid walnut

Large linen cupboard in solid walnut, traditionally made in France around the 1920s, in the Louis Philippe style. A simple piece of furniture with straight and geometric curves. The side uprights on the front are octagonal in shape. The cornice is straight, decorated with a diamond in the centre, and topped with two removable turned wooden finials. The cupboard has two doors with a large lower drawer. Two large doors, beautifully crafted from a single large piece of walnut. The lock entry is made of chiselled metal, with a functional original lock and key on the right door. The left door is secured with an old hook on the interior shelf. There is ample storage space. Three solid wood shelves, 30 mm thick. The central shelf contains two small storage drawers and a secret compartment behind the false central drawer. A half shelf in the cornice allows for the use of the upper space. A large storage drawer between the cupboard's feet, entirely made of wood, with walnut on the front featuring a decorative diamond, and two metal handles. The shelves and drawer interiors are made of solid wood, sanded and protected by a clear natural top oil finish, suitable for food contact, to hold linen or crockery. The feet are covered with wooden pieces in the Louis Philippe style, octagonal in shape, continuing the design of the uprights. The furniture is healthy, solid, stable, and ready for use. The walnut has a lovely light and bright colour, with visible grain. The cupboard is easy to disassemble without tools, using Roman head screws. Delivery of the assembled furniture is included, with the option for disassembled delivery upon request. Dimensions: With the finials on the cornice: 149 cm wide, 244 cm high, 60 cm deep.
