VINTAGE KOKESHI BY KOBAYASHI INOSUKE / 45 CM

Magnificent vintage kokeshi, with an infectious childish smile. Her slightly metallic olive green kimono is illustrated with yellow momiji leaves floating in the current, and enhanced with touches of red. It was made by inosuke kobayashi (1931-?), who notably received the prime minister's prize in 1979. It shows signs of wear (see photos).
