Wonderful very old and rare set of 3 iron earth plates from the st. Amand & hamage factory, hand-painted floral decoration, stamped and numbered 74 on the bottom. Each piece is unique in its shape, décor and patina. In good condition, the whole is in a variable condition, coloring wear, patinas, absence of email as well as the usual traces of wear due to time (see photos). Unique and rare pieces. The hamage factory founded in 1896 - 1952 is a branch of the saint-amand earthenware factories. The company then took the name of "saint amand and hamage nord". Iron earth is a trade name designating a fine earthenware ceramic, close to porcelain, mixed with feldspar and kaolin, to make it whiter and more resistant. It appears in france around 1770, really spreads at the time of ceramics, to reach its peak around 1900.
