Regency period bronze candlestick

17th century gilt bronze candlestick in very good general condition, Regency. Formerly silver plated, silver plating still clearly visible on the underside. Unscrewable foot revealing a beautiful pig's tail made with a file and proof of quality. Very pretty gadroon under the socket and laurel leaves on the shaft. Round base 11 cm in diameter. Height 16 cm. 369 grams, therefore very stable... A nice, very elegant model...
