Voltaire armchair

This voltaire armchair was dressed in an old cloth; the rusty springs of the seat pierced the fabric and straps... Complete stripping, sanding of the old dark oak wood, and new shade with natural wax and a matte black from "libéron" to bring out the nuances of wood and time... Restoration of the seat, backrest and cuffs in traditional: installation of straps, vegetable horsehair, stitching and finally cotton wool and fabric. I chose velvet fabrics from the "opium" collection from "casamance"; double piping finish. This voltaire, despite his classical style, finds a note of modernity! It offers comfort and firmness of the traditional seat.
