Description
Litho circa 1840 representing titian's painting "le concert champetre", drawing by maurin, engraving by chabert, print by le georgion. Format 34 X 42cm (engraving 20 X 25cm). Colorized in sepia. Small tears at the top and bottom edges otherwise tbe. - nicolas eustache maurin (1799 - 1850) painter and engraver from perpignan (pyrénées orientales 66) - edme charles chabert (1818 - 1890) parisian engraver - titian's 16th century painting is exhibited at the louvre. We see in a rural setting 4 characters, two of whom play music (flute and mandolin), another nude pours water from a pitcher into the tray of a fountain. On the right in the background we see a shepherd and his sheep. Packaged weight rolled 250g.
