Pair of 19th century Louis XVI style woman's face sconces

Pretty pair of louis XVI style wall lights. First manufactured in the middle of the 19th century. Bronze construction. Original mercury gilding, very good condition with a beautiful shine; note, slight wear to the gilding on the sconces and some small minor oxidation spots. The wall part is decorated with a woman's face surrounded by oak foliage and vines. The carving of the faces is fine, a guarantee of quality. The decor is enriched with acanthus leaf scrolls.
