African straw hat, called "tangadê" and used by the peulh people (shepherds, nomads and caravaners) to protect themselves from the sun and rain. Most generally oval in shape, it is woven by hand, by local craftsmen, in natural fibers and decorated with leather. A leather rope is used to adjust the tangadê around the chin to hold it well. This one is authentic and in perfect condition.
