Description
In 1944, yves jujeau, pierre and andré mounique created in bagnolet the nouveaux établissements jumo, a lighting factory (the brand is formed by the association of the first syllables of their respective names). André mounique deposited in 1945 the design of a desk lamp: the "lucidus bloc". Stocky and elegant, this table lamp has the particularity of being retractable and making only one block once its arm folded. The patent they filed protects an ingenious electrical and mechanical system: the incandescent bulb turns on automatically when the lampshade connected to the base is unfolded by a chrome and copper articulated arm. Three editions around this design success: 1944, 1980 and 2013. The proposed model is the 1980 reissue by the japanese publisher nice création tokyo-osaka. In perfect condition, it is a historical piece that has become very rare. Max height: 45 cm / width: 20 cm. Length: 27.
