Iron Earth Plate – Gien, “Poitiers” model

Made of opaque porcelain (iron earth), it bears the “poitiers” model, recognizable by its delicate neoclassical motifs and its sober refinement. Used at the end of the 19th century as a more accessible alternative to fine porcelain, iron earth allowed for rich and durable decorations, prized in bourgeois homes. The “poitiers” model embodies this balance between french tradition and discreet elegance. Condition: very good. No chips or cracks.
