Openwork planter in Italian earthenware

Magnificent and rare ornamental pierced planter in Italian faience. Chalk white colour. Beautiful decorative effect of quality with pretty cabochons on two sides. Monochrome and of rare elegance. Fineness of the weaving. Marked underneath "made in Italy" and the number "90" in relief. There are signs of wear and use that do not detract from the aesthetics of the object: small chips on the upper edge, inside and outside, presence of hair throughout, surface glaze crack on one macaroon, chips and nicks on the edge at the base.
